Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. She spent the majority of her childhood listening to classical music Boleros from the past, classic ranchero or romantic music, as well older classical songs. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. She started singing and studying music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. When she moved in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to southern California. She is a frequent soloist for private events and parties and performs the traditional Latin American Music. Her passion for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps active in community projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations in keeping the music vibrant.
